Highlights
A few things that make building and administering agents easier:
- Builders: a warning before a build runs out of credit. App Builder can tell you when build credit is running low, while there is still time to top up, upgrade, or ask an admin. The plan picker opens on the recommended next plan, and you can compare plans without leaving the build. This is rolling out progressively, so not every workspace has it yet.
- Org admins: you choose who can read an agent's chats. From Chat Logs, you can let the people who edit an agent read its conversations. Until you turn that on, those logs stay with admins.
- Everyone editing on a phone: the agent editor fits the screen. A section menu replaces the tab bar on small screens, so you can move through the editor without a row of tabs that does not fit.
The full notes below also cover marketplace promotional codes and an embeddings API for developers.
New features
Know before a build runs out of credit
Running out of credit in the middle of a build used to stop the work with little warning. App Builder can now tell you while there is still room to act.
When most of your plan's build allowance is used, a prompt shows that credit is running low, and how much is left. You can:
- Top up, if your plan can add credit
- Upgrade, if a higher plan is the way to keep building
- Ask an admin to upgrade, if you cannot change billing yourself
Upgrade opens a plan picker on the recommended next plan. You can compare all plans from there, and you stay on the build instead of leaving it to see prices. After you check out, you come back to the same build.
This warning rolls out progressively, organization by organization. If you do not see it yet, a build that runs out still stops at that turn, as it does today.
Choose who can read an agent's conversations
Org admins can decide, agent by agent, whether people who edit an agent may read its chat logs.
Turn it on from Chat Logs, on the Agent builder access tab, or from Chat log access in the agent editor. Editors then see a Chat Logs tab for that agent. Deleted conversations stay hidden. Until you grant access, editors do not see those logs.
Move through the agent editor on your phone
On a small screen, the agent editor uses a section menu instead of a row of tabs, and the header stays compact. You can still reach the same sections, including the ones you use on desktop, without a tab bar that does not fit.
Improvements
- Marketplace promotional codes. Organizations billed through a marketplace can redeem a promotional code on a free plan. A successful code starts a promotional trial.
- For developers. An OpenAI-compatible embeddings API is available at
/api/v1/embeddings. Point a client at{your host}/api/v1and call embeddings as you would with OpenAI. Usage is metered with the rest of your organization's AI spend.
Bug fixes
Chat, App Builder, billing and checkout, spreadsheets, the live browser, connectors, and the agent editor are more reliable. Attached workbooks stay with the conversation, and returning from checkout brings you back to the build.
