Highlights

A lot landed this week for builders and admins:

  • AppBuilder: you control the cost before work starts: For larger features, AppBuilder shows what it plans to do, how long it expects to take, and an estimated dollar cost up front. You accept or reject before any work runs, so you stay in control of spend. Available for organizations on the new dollar-based billing system.
  • AppBuilder: guided questions when details matter: When AppBuilder needs your input, it can pause with a step-by-step question wizard (single choice, multi-select, or free text) instead of guessing. Available to all AppBuilder users.
  • Files library: find and manage uploads faster: Quickly locate files by who uploaded them or when they were added, delete several files in one go, and scroll through large libraries without jumping between pages.

New features

Cost control before AppBuilder builds

Bigger AppBuilder changes no longer start running (and spending) before you have a say.

  • See the cost up front: AppBuilder shows an estimated dollar cost before work begins, so you know what you are committing to
  • Accept or reject: Nothing runs until you approve the plan, giving you direct control over spend on larger changes
  • See the plan first: AppBuilder summarizes what it will do and the high-level steps alongside the estimate
  • Realistic timing: You see an estimated duration and when work is likely to finish in your local timezone
  • Focused sub-chat: After you accept, detailed progress lives in a sub-chat you can open anytime; the main chat shows a compact status card
  • Test after edits: When a turn changes your app, the done card can offer a quick way to test the result

Available for organizations on the new dollar-based billing system.

AppBuilder guided questions

When AppBuilder needs clarity, it can ask structured questions inline. This is available to all AppBuilder users.

  • Step-by-step wizard: One question at a time, with clear Next and Back navigation
  • Flexible answer types: Single choice, multi-select, or free text, with the option to skip any question
  • Pick up where you left off: Your answers are preserved if you navigate away mid-wizard

Files library upgrades

Finding and managing uploaded files is easier:

  • Filter by date or uploader: Narrow long file lists in organization and personal file views
  • Bulk delete: Remove multiple files in one action
  • Smoother browsing: Infinite scroll loads more files as you go, with clearer handling while deletes are in progress

Improvements

  • More reliable MCP OAuth connections: OAuth setup for MCP servers is more robust, including automatic PKCE where required
  • Embeddable chat security: OAuth-based MCP and API tools are blocked in the v1 embeddable widget to reduce risk in embedded contexts

Bug fixes

Various fixes to AppBuilder reliability, chat attachments, billing, and analytics.
