Highlights
Three updates this week — each one aimed at making Devs.ai feel more dependable, more shareable, and more yours:
- Steadier chat, start to finish — Long conversations are less likely to stumble mid-answer or leave you with a broken thread after a refresh. Whether you're deep in research, juggling tools, or just thinking out loud, chat should feel steadier from the first message to the last.
- A referral program worth talking about — Know someone who'd love Devs.ai? Our new program lets you invite them straight from the app and earn commission when they sign up through your link. Your referral link lives in the sidebar; the invite flow lays out exactly how it works. (Terms and conditions apply.)
- Claude Fable 5 — when your organization is ready — Anthropic's latest model joins the lineup, but only on purpose. Fable 5 is disabled by default; an admin must opt in after reviewing the Zero Data Retention policy, so your team always knows what they're choosing before anyone selects it.
New features
The new referral program
Know someone who should be building with Devs.ai? Now you can send them your way — and get rewarded for it.
- Invite from the sidebar — your referral link lives right in the app, easy to find when inspiration strikes
- A refreshed invite experience — cleaner modal, mobile-friendly layout, and clear terms so everyone knows how it works
- Earn commission — refer people to the Devs.ai platform and earn commission when they sign up through your link. Conditions apply — see the program terms in the invite flow for full details.
- Admin control — organization admins decide whether the referral program is available for their team
Claude Fable 5
Claude Fable 5 is now available in Devs.ai — but only if your organization wants it.
- Opt-in by design — Fable 5 is disabled by default. Your admin must explicitly enable it for your organization before anyone on the team can select it
- Zero Data Retention (ZDR) — enabling Fable 5 requires acknowledging Anthropic's ZDR policy, which means your organization's data is not retained by the model provider under this configuration. The opt-in flow walks admins through that disclosure before the model goes live
- Smart fallback — if Fable 5 isn't available for any reason, the model picker gracefully falls back to Claude Opus so your work isn't interrupted
Improvements
Chat stability
We spent this release making chat feel more dependable — especially when things get complicated:
- Longer conversations, fewer surprises — chats that lean on tools, research, and back-and-forth are less likely to lose context or leave you with a broken thread
- Better recovery — stopping a response, stepping away, or refreshing the page mid-answer is less likely to stall your chat
- Smoother streaming — answers arrive more steadily, with formatting that holds together while the AI is still typing
- Fewer mystery errors — edge cases that used to surface confusing failures now resolve more gracefully
Bug fixes
Various fixes to chat reliability, spreadsheet handling in agent workflows, and sign-in page layout across devices.
