Enterprise search

Enterprise search is one place for your organization to look across the systems and files you have already connected. You ask in your own words, and Devs.ai answers using those sources and shows citations so you can open the document, issue, or page behind each claim.

That is different from the knowledge you attach to a single agent in Creating agents and Configuring model and data sources: an agent is tuned for a specific job, while enterprise search looks across everything your organization has connected that the product can search.

📝 Note: Whether you see enterprise search, which connectors appear, and what admins can change all depend on your plan and your organization’s settings. If you do not see it in the sidebar, ask your organization admin.

What you can do

  • Search many sources at once — For example Google Drive, GitHub, MCP servers, knowledge bases, and other supported connectors, without opening each product separately.
  • See answers with citations — Each answer points to where the information came from, so you can dig deeper when you need the full file or thread.
  • Add sources with guidance — A guided flow shows what is already connected and what you can add next.
  • Help admins improve results — Search activity can be reviewed so administrators can spot bad answers and adjust which sources are included. That pairs well with Analytics if your org uses the newer reporting experience.

Over time, the product has also made search runs more reliable and tightened connector security (for example, how forwarded HTTP headers behave on custom connectors). Your organization picks up those improvements as it updates.

Who it is for

  • Anyone who needs an answer that might sit in more than one system.
  • Leads who want a single place to ask “where did we write this down?”
  • Administrators who need to see how search is used and whether sources need tuning.
