Highlights
A lot landed this week for builders and admins:
- Everyone: new models in the catalog: The GPT-5.6 family (Sol, Terra, and Luna) and Grok 4.5 are available to choose from, with Grok 4.5 preferred in AppBuilder.
- Builders: AppBuilder presentations are generally available: Create and refine slide decks with AI, including in-preview text editing, custom colors, and smoother block reordering.
- Org admins: control model access and availability: From Organization → Models, decide which models your organization can use, where they appear (chat, AppBuilder, agents, routines), and who can use them.
New features
New models: GPT-5.6 and Grok 4.5
More model choices for chat and AppBuilder:
- GPT-5.6 family: Sol, Terra, and Luna are in the model catalog
- Grok 4.5: Newly available, and preferred in AppBuilder
Pick the model that fits the job from the model picker in chat and AppBuilder.
AppBuilder presentations are generally available
Slide decks in AppBuilder are ready for everyone. Build pitch decks, walkthroughs, and visual stories with AI, then refine them in the live preview.
- In-preview text editing: Double-click deck text to edit it with rich formatting
- Custom colors: Choose text and highlight colors that match your brand
- Smoother reordering: Drag blocks into place with more reliable live updates
- Helpful tips: Hover guidance makes it clearer how to start editing
Model access and availability for organizations
Organization admins can govern AI model access from Organization → Models (Customize Organization Models). This is generally available.
- Restrict available models: Limit which models your organization can use, or leave unrestricted so new platform models are available automatically
- Per-surface availability: Choose where each model appears: conversational chat, AppBuilder, custom agents, and routines
- Access by group or user: Allow or block specific groups and users per model
- Clearer controls: Dedicated-instance badges, staged settings before you enforce restrictions, and a clearer configure drawer for availability and access
People in your organization only see the models they are allowed to use for the surface they are in.
Provider Keys and Custom deployments
Organizations can bring their own inference credentials and OpenAI-compatible hosts into Devs.ai.
- Provider Keys: Configure organization API keys for supported providers
- Custom deployments: Register OpenAI-compatible hosts (Azure AI Foundry, custom URLs for vLLM/Ollama, and more) through a guided wizard, expose models with clear display names, and run chats on your own keys without platform debit
Provider Keys and Custom deployments are not enabled by default. Reach out to your Devs.ai representative to learn more and request access for your organization.
Faster organization switching
If you belong to many organizations, finding the right one should not mean scrolling a long flat list.
- Searchable switcher: Find an organization by name from the sidebar Account menu or Account settings
- Pin and recent: Keep favorites close and jump back to orgs you used lately
- Clearer context: Your active organization name appears under the Account label so you always know where you are
Improvements
- See how full the context window is: A context usage indicator in chat shows how much of the model's context is in use, with a breakdown by message type
- Google Drive shared folders: Link Shared with me and Shared drives folders as knowledge sources, not only folders you own
- Clearer model controls: Settings for which models are available are easier to understand, including a dedicated-instance badge and improved tooltips
- Localized sign-in and emails: Sign-in, org selection, password reset, and invitation or verification emails better respect organization locale settings, including French
- AppBuilder polish: Smoother ask-question and turn-estimate loading states while you wait for the next step
Bug fixes
Reliability fixes across AppBuilder presentation editing, custom deployments and model restrictions, organization switching, chat web search with tools, and model selection. Day-to-day building and admin setup should feel steadier.
