Highlights

A lot landed this week. Here is the short version:

  • Org admins: spend you can finally see and control. We are rolling out a new usage and billing experience across Devs.ai, starting progressively this week. A new Usage & Billing hub in your organization settings puts spend, limits, top-ups, and activity in one place, with analytics that show real dollar costs. No more guessing where usage is going. We will share more as the rollout reaches your organization.
  • Builders: your apps can test themselves now. App Builder can walk through your app like a real user, clicking buttons and checking that things work, without any developer tools. New projects also ship with a polished design system, so your first draft looks professional from the start. And if slide decks are your thing, AI presentations are rolling out in early access so you can build pitch decks and walkthroughs with AI (not every workspace has it yet).
  • Everyone: things should just feel smoother. Long chats, live previews, and mid-edit refreshes are more dependable. Less friction, fewer surprises.

There is more in the full release notes, including a deeper look at the new billing experience and reliability improvements across the product.

New features

Catch problems before your users do

Building an app is only half the job. You also need to know it actually works.

App Builder can now walk through your app like a person would: clicking buttons, filling forms, and checking that things behave as expected. When the AI makes a change, it can offer to run a quick test so you are not left wondering whether everything still works.

You stay in control. Tests run when you ask for them, not on every keystroke. If something looks off, you can tell the AI to fix it without starting over.

Build apps that look polished from the first draft

New App Builder projects now start with a modern, professional design system out of the box. That means cleaner layouts, consistent spacing, and components that look good in both light and dark mode without you having to describe every visual detail.

The AI has better guidance on how to make your app look intentional, so you spend less time fixing basic design issues and more time on what your app actually does.

AI presentations (early availability)

Coming soon for more teams: App Builder is gaining the ability to help you create slide-based presentations and decks. Think pitch decks, walkthroughs, and visual stories built with AI in a widescreen canvas designed for slides.

This feature is in early availability and will roll out gradually. Not everyone will see it right away. If it is available in your workspace, try asking the AI to help you build a presentation and let us know what you think.

A new Usage & Billing experience for org admins

Managing AI spend across a team should not feel like guesswork. This release introduces a new way to understand and control usage across your organization.

What you get:

  • A dedicated Usage & Billing page in your organization settings, so everything lives in one place instead of scattered across different screens
  • A clear spend overview so you can see how much your organization is using and what is left in your plan
  • Organization and per-user spending limits to keep usage under control
  • Top-ups when you need to add prepaid credit
  • Activity and invoices so you can review what happened and reconcile charges
  • Upgraded analytics that surface costs in dollars, helping you spot where usage is coming from

The full experience is ready. We are rolling it out progressively starting this week, organization by organization. More communications will follow as it becomes available to you. If you are an admin, keep an eye on your inbox and look for Usage & Billing in your organization settings.

Improvements

  • Chat feels more dependable during long conversations and when you stop or refresh mid-answer
  • Clearer messages when something goes wrong
  • Faster recent chats in the sidebar when you open the app
  • Smoother App Builder previews that keep up with your latest edits
  • Better handling when a saved AI model is no longer available

Bug fixes

General reliability improvements across chat, App Builder, model selection, and billing display. Together they should make the product feel steadier day to day.
